DIY: Hand Painted Cushion Cover

Thursday, April 25, 2013

Hey Lovelies
I know I have been M.I.A but I've been busy with some projects around the house which i'll be sharing with you so make sure you stay tuned.

I recently purchased a plain pink cushion cover which I immediately thought it would be perfect for doing my own design.
I came home and began searching through my craft room to figure out what to do, I came across a stencil and grabbed some paints in different colors. When I stenciled the pattern I noticed it was small for the cushion so I decided to add more lines and prints.
I ended up with a great conversation piece and so can you if you put your mind to it.

Things you'll need:
cushion cover
stencil
paint
brushes
pencil
tape
glass of wine (optional) lol

I kept adding more details as I went along and ended up with this....

On this one I used a different stencil.

What will your cushion look like? If you decide to DIY one for yourself please share it with me. Tag me on Facebook or Instagram

    1. Thank you. It was a long process especially with my son hanging around grabbing my brushes and wanting to make his own design, but worth it. I love it!
