6 Ways To Soften Up Your Winter Look

Tuesday, January 22, 2013

Hi Lovelies,

I'm impatiently waiting for Spring, everything seems and feels happier in the spring-time. Days are longer, warmer and we can finally say good-bye to snowy days.

Here's a trend that we don't have to wait until Spring to wear: PASTELS.

Although we are still wearing dark colors and chunky knits, Pastels can soften up a winter look and its a great way to make a gradual transition into Spring.

        Urban Expressions Afternoon Satchel

This mint bag will look perfect against your black and brown shades. Isn't it a beauty? I like all the pockets and most of all that it can be worn as a tote or crossbody. $70 at DSW.

Miss Selfridge shoes

This wedge will stand out with some dark skinnies and a chunky sweater. Once we enter spring they will be perfect for floral dresses and skirts. $80 from missselfridge.com

River Island Pink Cable Knit Boxy Jumper

This pink cable knit jumper can be worn  with leggings and boots now, with jeans and flats later on. $60 at riverisland

The White Coat!
The perfect little coat for skinnies or a pencil skirt. I love the zipper detail and edginess of this coat.  $80 at romwe.com

Go with a bib necklace for a hint of color.
This necklace pairs well with a button up or a scoop neck dress. Get it at  baublebar.com for $36

Nail polish

Not ready to wear statement pieces? No problem, go for a pastel polish instead. Try one of these Catwalk Pastels from the
butter LONDON   Spring collection.

This is how I softened up my winter look.
I'm wearing a heather gray sweater, dark skinnies and accessorized with a mint wrap watch from Target and peachy nails.

Enjoy your day XO
