5 Drugstore Beauty Products To Try

Wednesday, January 16, 2013

It's been a while since my last  MAKEUP  post, here's an update on my recent favorites...

Lately I've been going for "Drugstore" Cosmetics. I've been hitting up stores like Walgreens, Target, Walmart, Ulta and some local beauty supplies. But I still have some M.A.C. favorites that I cannot part with yet.

Without any further ado, lets begin...

Revlon makeup

This foundation really gives me the coverage that I need. Since its Whipped, it doesn't feel heavy on the face and it really does last. I haven't tried it for the 24 hrs it says that it would, and I honestly don't think I want to lol, but it does LAST all day!

The shade I use is Warm Golden and I purchased it from Target It will only set you back about $10-$12. That saves me about $20 from my previous foundation.
The way I apply it to my face is with a Foundation Brush. The one I use is from e.l.f. cosmetics which is also available at Target and is only $3.

I have NEVER been a fan of Liquid Eyeliner until 3 Months ago, I have always done my eyeliner with M.A.C. Carbon eyeshadow using a  brush (hey, it worked for me) not even a pencil, unless it was a color pencil but I'll get to that in a minute.
I decided to give this Liquid thing a try and I love it. I haven"t stopped using it since I tried it, but I have to be honest and say that I use a different brush than the one that's provided. I like to use an angled brush. I tend not to make a mess this way.

What I like about Hard Candy Walk the Line is that it stays put and lasts all day as well. If I happen to smudge a little while applying, all I do is let it dry and then remove with a Q-tip for a mess free clean up. The color I use is  "Black",  it goes for $6 and I purchased it from Walmart

Going back to the "Color Pencils", I don't have an issue with using color pencils. It is with "Black" pencils that I just don't like the results. Sorry, I'm weird! LOL

Revlon concealer

This concealer has been a favorite for months, not only do I use it as a concealer, but as a highlighter as well. Actually I use it more as a highlighter, than a concealer. The shade I use is "Light" which is lighter than my skin tone. I purchased it from Walgreens and it's just under $10. This concealer is really good, it does conceal those spots you want to hide.

Gift sets kit

Now this little quad is my best friend. You know the saying "Eyebrows are sisters, not twins", well I feel like my eyebrows aren't even related. With that said my best friend here helps me with my brows. This Brow kit is by Sonia Kashuk, I love that it has different shades so you can mix and blend the colors for a perfect match. It is a creamy substance, it comes with a mini spoolie and nylon angled brush. The best part of all is that its NOT tested on animals.

You can find this at Target and it goes for $9.99

(Edited)Product is no longer available BLUSHES
Lasting Finish Blendable Powder Blush & Highlighter

On one of my shopping trips to Target, I came across these  Rimmel blushes which happened to be on sale. I thought since they were 50% off why not try them. I bought three different shades.

This one is a Blendable Powder Blush and Highlighter. Its actually my favorite out of the three I purchased because I can blend the colors and create the shade I want. The other two shades were Pink Sorbet and Blush Pink. These blushes are long lasting with a sheer finish. Its what I use on a day to day basis. You can purchase these here and here

These are a few of my everyday products. Try them and let me know what you think :)
