Punked-up LaceMonday, October 15, 2012
This outfit was inspired by one of the seasons trends "Lace!" From details on jackets to dresses and of course the usual cami, Lace is a big hit this fall.
How I'm wearing it....
I wore this dress before and this time around I wanted to add some color and toughen it up by wearing my leather blazer. Since the dress is sheer, I wore a teal bodycon dress underneath for for different look. ( I've worn the dress twice before and wore black underneath) by pairing it with the teal it feels like a whole new dress.
I had a little debate whether to wear tall boots or booties and as you can see the booties won. The tall boots gave the look sort of a heavy feel and I looked frumpy.
I completed the look with a statement necklace. I thought this multi-strand chain with bow detail was perfect. It has both a soft and tuff look. I chose my tan oversized clutch to add a bit of contrast and break all the black. (It seems like this clutch is becoming a staple piece.) With this ensemble I thought two arm parties are better than one. I loaded one arm with a mix of bangles and in the other arm I wore my new favorites from Mydarlingava and the beaded bracelet was a gift from my brother- in-law from his trip to Brazil. I'm also wearing a ring which I forgot I had and came across it while searching for a brooch. I love the snake print detail it has, I think it was perfect with the arm party.
Want to try the "Lace" trend but aren't sure about a lace dress? Try a garment with lace detail instead, or an accessory such as gloves, a belt or clutch.
