The little blue lamp

I love DIY projects and this past weekend I decided to transform this not so "Me" lamp into a masterpiece.
The lamp was traditional and did not go with my decor.

As I am not afraid of color I decided to paint the base of the lamp blue. For the lampshade I was going to keep it simple and go with white. When I put it together I didn't like it. I felt it didn't have the look I was going for.

A few months before I had made some accent pillows for my sofa and I had some leftover fabric. I got the idea to upholster the lampshade with the same fabric. The result was priceless. It turned out even better than what I had imagined.

The lamp looks amazing with the rest of the decor. I placed it on the corner of my console table. Its exactly what it was missing.

The paint is by Behr and the name of the color is "Isle of Capri".

I hope this gives you an idea of what you can do with a little paint. Sometimes we have something that needs a little sprucing up and you can do this with paint.
